Terms of Service

Acceptance
By creating a MelodAI account or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using MelodAI on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance.
License
Subject to your plan, MelodAI grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use AI-generated music and tabs for the purposes described in your subscription tier. Free-tier and Lite-tier output is licensed for non-commercial personal use only. Starter, Pro, and Creator grant full commercial use rights as described in the feature matrix.
Prohibited uses
You may not use MelodAI to generate content that infringes on third-party intellectual property, to create training data for competing AI models, to resell raw generation outputs as-is without significant transformation, or for any unlawful purpose. Violation may result in immediate account termination.
Payments
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. All payments are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice; your current billing cycle will not be affected.
User-uploaded content
MelodAI allows you to upload your own images as cover art for your songs. By uploading an image, you represent and warrant that you own all necessary rights to that image or have obtained all required permissions, and that the image does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, contain unlawful material, or violate any applicable laws. You grant MelodAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that image solely for the purpose of operating the service. MelodAI does not review user-uploaded images before they are displayed and is not responsible for content you upload. You are solely responsible for any claims arising from images you upload.
AI-generated content
MelodAI uses third-party AI models to generate music and tablature on your behalf. The AI music generation industry is subject to ongoing legal proceedings regarding training data and intellectual property rights. MelodAI makes no representation or warranty that AI-generated output is free from third-party copyright claims. You assume all legal and commercial risk associated with your use of generated content, including any claims that may arise from rights holders. For free-tier users, output is licensed for non-commercial personal use only; paid plan commercial rights are granted to the extent permitted by applicable law at the time of generation. MelodAI is not liable for any disruption, limitation, or discontinuation of the generation service arising from changes to upstream AI providers, including but not limited to provider settlements, injunctions, or platform policy changes. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain service continuity and notify you of material changes.
Advertising
MelodAI displays third-party advertisements on public pages and for free-tier account holders. Advertisements are served by Ezoic and its advertising partners, and are subject to Ezoic's Privacy Policy. Paid subscribers (Starter, Pro, and Creator plans) browse MelodAI without advertisements. By using the free tier, you consent to the display of personalised and non-personalised advertisements as permitted by applicable law. You may manage ad personalisation preferences via cookie settings.
Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these terms. Upon termination, you retain access to content you have already downloaded.
