About MelodAI
Make music as fast as you can imagine it.
MelodAI is an AI music creation platform that turns a text prompt into a full song — complete with guitar tabs that scroll along in real time. It was built for musicians who want to prototype ideas quickly, creators who need royalty-free audio, and anyone who has ever had a song in their head but couldn't play an instrument.
Why we built this
Most AI music tools let you generate audio — and stop there. We wanted to close the loop: if you can hear what you created, you should also be able to play it. That is why every MelodAI song can be transcribed into tabs for guitar, bass, piano, and drums, with the notation scrolling in sync with playback.
We also believe the best AI tools are transparent ones. Our blog articles that are written with AI assistance carry a clear label so you always know what you are reading. The songs on our explore page are real creations from real users — not generated filler.
MelodAI is an independent product. It is funded by subscriptions and top-ups, not advertising revenue from third parties. When we do run ads on public pages, the content stays ours and the editorial standards stay the same.
What MelodAI does
AI song generation
Describe your song in plain language — genre, mood, tempo, instruments — and MelodAI produces a full studio-quality track in under a minute. No music theory required.
Real-time guitar tabs
Every generated song can be transcribed into guitar, bass, piano, or drum tabs. The tabs scroll in sync with playback so you can learn your own creation note by note.
Built for creators
Royalty-free output, a public explore feed where songs earn credits from plays, and integrations that make it easy to share to social or bring audio into your existing tools.
Seven languages
MelodAI is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Korean — because creativity does not have a native language.
Who is behind MelodAI
MelodAI was founded by João Ferreira, a software engineer based in Portugal. The platform launched in 2025 and has grown to serve musicians and creators across more than 30 countries.
We are a small team with a simple goal: make the creative barrier to music as low as possible without sacrificing quality or depth.
