Pricing questions

Can I change plans?+

Anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle.

How does the credit system work?+

Each plan includes a credit pool that resets monthly. Songs cost 1–4 credits depending on length: under 1 min = 1 credit, up to 2 min = 2, up to 4 min = 3, up to 8 min = 4. Shorter songs stretch your plan further. Top up with $5 for 20 extra credits that never expire.

Is the free tier music royalty-free?+

Free is non-commercial — fine for personal use. Personal license starts at Starter. Full commercial and sync rights start at Pro.

What's a Guitar Pro file?+

GP5 is the standard tab editor format. We also export PDF, MusicXML, and MIDI — available from Pro upward.

What does 'sync licensing' mean?+

A sync license lets you place music in video productions for clients — ads, films, content work. Available on the Creator plan.
